Accessibility Statement

What we do to meet WCAG 2.1 AA, where we currently fall short, and how to get an accessible alternative.

Effective September 2, 2026 · Last updated September 2, 2026

1. Our Commitment

Coach Manuals is committed to making the platform usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, speech input or other assistive technology.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing obligation rather than a one-off project.

2. Measures We Take

  • Semantic HTML with landmarks and correct heading structure, so assistive technology can navigate pages.
  • Keyboard operability for interactive controls, with visible focus indicators.
  • Accessible names on icon-only controls, and alternative text on meaningful images.
  • Colour palettes and light and dark themes designed to meet AA contrast ratios for body text.
  • Text that reflows and remains readable when zoomed or viewed on small screens.
  • Form fields with associated labels and errors described in text, not by colour alone.
  • Accessibility considered during review of new interface work.

3. Known Limitations

We publish these openly rather than claim full conformance:

  • Generated PDFs. Manuals exported to PDF are generated programmatically and may lack a full tag tree, reading order and alternative text. If you need an accessible version of a generated document, contact us and we will provide the content in an accessible format.
  • In-browser PDF reader. The embedded reader depends on a third-party rendering component whose accessibility we do not fully control.
  • Rich-text editor. The editor used for manual content has partial screen-reader support for some formatting controls.
  • Third-party components. Payment and bot-protection widgets are supplied by external providers and are subject to their own accessibility conformance.
  • User-supplied content. We cannot control the accessibility of text and images that coaches enter, though we encourage descriptive headings and alternative text.

We are working to reduce these gaps and will update this statement as they are addressed.

4. Feedback and Requesting an Alternative Format

If you encounter a barrier, or need information from the platform in an alternative accessible format, email contact@coachmanuals.com.

Please include the page or feature involved, what you were trying to do, the assistive technology and browser you were using, and your contact details.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days and to provide a resolution or a timeline within 20 business days. There is no charge for an alternative format.

5. Assessment and Standards

Our assessment is based on internal review combined with automated testing and manual keyboard and screen-reader checks. We have not commissioned a third-party audit or published a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template; if your organisation requires one, contact us and we will discuss it.

This statement is provided in the spirit of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and comparable accessibility law. It reflects the state of the platform on the date shown above.

6. Enforcement and Escalation

If you are not satisfied with our response, reply to our message asking for escalation and a different member of the team will review it.

You retain any right you have to raise a complaint with a regulator or to seek other remedies available under applicable law.
